So yes people, I am alive. I’ve gotten several emails and inquiries wondering how I was after Sunday’s game. The shock that sent me into a brief but very difficult coma has left and I’m ready to move forward. Yes, the…ummm…Bengals did win. That’s a tough pill to swallow, but honestly, we are 1-2 while demonstrating that we can do some very good things. Yes, we need Troy Polamalu back and back fast, but even muttering the words GIVE UP is ludicrous . And while I’m at it, the predictions, sure i’m 1-2 but listen, last year i finished 12-4. What fan in their right mind would pick against their team (Raiders and Lions are extempt from this clause).

Bruce Arians….let me repeat that name Bruce Arians. Can you please stand up and begin play calling like the defending Superbowl champion offensive coordinator would. Why go away from the bubble screen every game? When Ben is passing at a high percentage why go Bill Cower on us and run the ball? The Tommy Maddox days are done, Kordell Stewart, is an occasional guest alongside Skip Bayless, the point being neither of them are quarterbacking your team. Willie finally showed up, which was suppose to be the answer to your play calling woes, and you still called an awful second half.

I made a pact with a friend not to say another word about Tyrone Carter. The fact is the guy plays hard, has a high football IQ and may start for a handful of teams. He however is not a starting saftey in a Dick Lebeau scheme. He made several nice hits and was ok in coverage, and for this week and until Troy comes back, that will be my only focus.

I’m ready to move on to this week’s game and truth be told i am excited. We needed tested to show where we needed to improve and now Mike Tomlin and his staff, that means you Bruce!, can draw up their blueprint and take this squad forward. For all of you half hearted fans that are ready to jump ship, I’ll be handing out bricks and a chain to tie to your waist so that you can drown and leave us alone.
