At some point during every single football season, we always talk about a team that should move to Los Angeles. Well, now that could be a really possibility down the road, as California governor and bodybuilding extraordinaire Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed a bill that allows construction to begin on a new stadium.
Now the talk turns to who will occupy this stadium. Of the seven teams on the list of possibilities (Chargers, Raiders, 49ers, Rams, Bills, Vikings, and Jaguars), I think that three of those are strong candidates. And that would be the Raiders, Rams, and Bills.
Of course, Los Angeles Bills doesn’t have a great ring to it, and we’ve heard the Los Angeles Raiders and Los Angeles Rams before.
If I had to pick which team I’d like to see move there, it would probably be the Raiders. I mean, c’mon. The Raiders need some type of boost, right?
Maybe bringing the old L.A. Raider tradition will help them become a premier team in this league once again. Or maybe not. At this point, a new stadium may not save this team. But wait, the Raiders are going to the playoffs. I totally forgot.
Which team would you like to see occupy the new stadium in Los Angeles?

I could see it being the Bills, Raiders or the Jaguars. Both the Bills and the Jaguars are in struggling markets and the Raiders would be an obvious choice based on location.
If the Bills move there, do they change their name? It doesn’t make sense keeping the Bills mascot. The Oilers changed their name to the Titans upon their move. But the Lakers (I know, I know, it’s the NBA) did not change their name when they moved from Minneapolis to L.A.
Yeah, I would think the Bills would have to change their name. Because that L.A. Bills just doesn’t sound right. It would seem like the Raiders would have to be the first choice, because like you said, the location is perfect.
I think the Jags will be gone from Jacksonville in a year or two, so I guess it’ll depend on whether the Raiders or Bills get a deal worked out before they do, because those are definitely in the worst markets right now.
