The Cleveland Browns are all ready to lose to the Green Bay Packers this week. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t think it is for lack of trying but the Browns are dealing with a lot of hardships in the last week putting them behind the eight-ball.
Not only has the team dealt with multiple players getting the flu, but also corner back Eric Wright rolled his car Friday morning. But what team doesn’t have stuff like this going on… not many.
The last time the Browns faced the Packers it was a match up between Brett Farve and Trent Dilfer. Now, we are going to see Aaron Rogers up against a struggling Derrick Anderson. This is all setup to be a VERY different game than the last time these two teams met.
The one bright side for the Browns is that the Packers offensive line is REALLY hurting. This should be a good day for the Browns D-line and the Linebackers. The secondary might benefit from the extra pressure on the QB Rogers, but I am sure that they will be beat on no less than 5 plays (gain of >20 yards).
As for the Offense, I would see them having a hard time unless the receivers start to catch the ball. Now it might be cold and rainy which is only going to hurt the receiving core even more. I am not expecting them to have a big day.
The running game will have a chance considering how they have done the last few games but the linebackers for the Packers are pretty tough lead by A.J. Hawk.
I don’t expect the Browns to win, but I will say that they are in position to take it to a team that is not really mentally ready for them. Really that could be any given week this season…
