I’m telling ya, Tom Cable just isn’t having a good year. His team is one of the worst teams in football. He allegedly punched an assistant coach in a team meeting. And now ESPN has unleashed fury on him and found out about the possible abusive past of the Raiders’ coach. So now it looks as though the league and the Raiders organization are going to get involved.

I’m not really sure what the Raiders mean when they say “serious evaluation,” because if this evaluation is being done by Al Davis, then who knows what could happen. I didn’t expect Cable to keep his job this long, and it’s highly unlikely that he’ll be back next season.

Seriously, if you had just made the statement at the first of the year that Cable was going to have an awful year, I would have thought that would be directed to his football team. But his off-the-field problems have been worse than the Raiders themselves.

And well, that’s saying something.
