With Marlin Jackson and Bob Sanders officially ruled out for the rest of the season, the Indianapolis Colts might have to struggle to remain on top of the AFC. Not only is that a concern, but their matchup this weekend with the Houston Texans will be that much tougher for the undefeated Colts.

The Houston passing game led by Matt Schaub and Andre Johnson is well-documented, and without their full starting secondary healthy, the Colts could have a hard time against these Texans. However, there is an injury that actually favors the Colts, and that is of tight end Owen Daniels, who was injured last weekend and is out for the rest of the season. Daniels was having a very productive season for Houston, and Schaub will definitely miss his big target.

Who’s injuries will hurt more? Half the Colts’ secondary or the Texans’ star tight end?

Whoever exploits their opponents’ weaknesses better will have a big advantage toward winning this game. There is no question that there will be points scored in this game, and it will be interesting to see if Schaub can take advantage of a weaker Colts’ secondary even though he is missing one of his favorite targets. Peyton Manning should not have too big of a problem leading his offense to points, so the onus will be on Schaub to use what he has to the best of his ability in order to keep this game close.

With the injuries being a big factor, I feel that this game has definitely become more interesting. If you have the opportunity to watch it, I suggest that you do.
