Sorry for the misleading headline, it was the only way I could make this game seem someone reasonable. But before I start, I would like to thank Blake and Khai for doing the live blog for this atrocious, boring, and dreadful game. Thanks for taking 3 hours away from your life, and wasting them on this embarrassment of a game. Anyways, the Baltimore Ravens were smoked today by the Cincinnati Bengals, even though the score can be misleading.

I honestly am not looking forward to doing this recap, so I am going to re-visit my pregame article about “What to watch for in the Ravens-Bengals game”. Here were my three points that needed to be addressed.

*Contain Cedric Benson
*Don’t Kiss The Baby
*Score Early On The Road

1) Containing Cedric Benson should have been their primary focus going into this game. The Ravens were hit with some bad news before the game, hearing that Haloti Ngata would be inactive. Well, I’m not even sure if Ngata could have stopped Benson today, who once again rushed for over 100 yards and another TD score. The Ravens defense was awful in the first half, but shut them down in the second half. Carson Palmer threw for 224 yards and 1 TD to Andre Caldwell.

2) Like I said before, I have no clue what kissing the baby means, but I’m pretty sure the Ravens kissed the baby today. The creator of this saying is none other then Chad Ochocinco himself. He was targeted 9 times today, and hauled in 5 balls for 66 yards. I guess I’ll be the first to say it, “The Ravens kissed da baby today”.

3) It was really important that the Ravens get ahead early. Well they didn’t, and it ended up costing them down the stretch. The first half was one of the worst played halves by any team I have ever witnessed. If you were not following BlitzNation’s Live Blog of this game, you missed a very comical discussion between us. The first half was brutal to watch, and we all couldn’t help but crack jokes throughout the game.

Overall, the Ravens need to win at Cleveland next week before their tough stretch of games at Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and on the road against the Packers (who have just lost to the now 1-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

Hold on, Chad Ochocinco has beat me to it…Here is what 85 has just tweeted (what a surprise):

“Beautiful game today, if Ed Reed steal one of my footballs again I’m gonna call the police, damn thief, they kissed da baby still<–Pow!!”
