In this edition of NFL Midseason Awards, we will turn our attention to the AFC South. The AFC South is a relatively strong division this year with the Tennessee Titans being the only team under .500.

BEST TEAM AWARD - Indianapolis Colts
This was an easy selection as the Colts are one of only two teams in the NFL still undefeated. The Colts are using a balance of offense and defense to defeat teams instead of their usual 40 points a game that the opponent just can’t match. Though its weird seeing the Colts score under 30, they are still gettin the job done.

BEST PLAYER AWARD - Chris Johnson (TEN)
Chris Johnson is one of the most exciting players to watch in the NFL. Half way through the season, he is the only back left that could reasonably reach 2,000 yards. If he does, he told his offensive linemen he would buy them all new cars! The other reason he is so good, is he’s not getting a lot of help. Against Jacksonville, Johnson had more rushing yards than Vince Young had passing.

BEST GAME AWARD - Week 9, Houston at Indianapolis
If you watched this game, you know what I’m talking about. It was non-stop excitement til the very end. The game looked like it was going into overtime until Kris Brown missed the final field goal leaving the Texans further away from the Colts atop the division.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT AWARD - Tennessee Titans
Many people may have picked the Titans not to make the Super Bowl, but most people wouldn’t have put money on it that they would be last in the division. The 13-3 team from last year returned 20 of 22 starters and has already doubled their losses from last year. Their playoff hopes a miniscule and despite a miracle they will be sitting out this year.

BURNING QUESTION AWARD - Can the Colts stay undefeated?
Though it’s very unlikely, it’s very possible. The Colts only have three really tough games left in New England, Baltimore, and Denver. All three of these games are winable. Though their games are always close, they do seem to find a way to win. Peyton Manning has a lot to do with that.

Quickies
Team Most Likely to Be Relocated - Jacksonville Jaguars
Most Improved - Mike Sims-Walker (JAC)
Most Underrated Player - Ryan Moats (HOU)
Most Overrated Player - Bob Sanders (IND)
Worst Loss - Tennessee Titans (New England 59-0)
