So if you watched the Monday Night Football game this past week, the Cleveland Browns looked awful once again as they lost 16-0 at home to the Baltimore Ravens. And if you watched the second half closely, you will notice that the Browns actually got four timeouts and no one even noticed. Until now.

Now, to me, this isn’t even that big of a mistake by the officials. It’s the officials’ job to keep track of timeouts because that is something that is very important when you get towards the end of a close game. Well guess what? It wouldn’t have mattered if the Browns had called a timeout on every single play. It couldn’t have saved their sorry performance the other night.

So my suggestion is to give the Browns as many timeouts as they want. Sure, it may slow down games a little bit. But hey, let’s at least give this team a shot. Because right now, they have no shot.

Hey, Eric Mangini might be coaching one of the worst teams in football, but with sneaky moves like getting extra timeouts, he’ll still be Man-Genius to me.
