There has been alot of things going on in D.C. with the massive snowstorm that hit there, the resignation of VP of Operations Vinny Cerrato, the hiring of new VP of Operartions Bruce Allen and talks of former Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan taking over for Jim Zorn shortly after the 2009 season is over.

The season hasn’t gone particularly well for the Redskins but the past two weeks they have played some pretty good football. In Week 13, they took the then undefeated New Orleans Saints to overtime and could have given them their first lost of it wasn’t for a missed field goal by now unemployed kicker Shaun Suisham, and last week they dismantled the Oakland Raiders 34-13.

Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell has been leading the offense through the last three weeks, combining for 820 yards and seven touchdowns. They have been without running backs Clinton Portis and Rock Cartwright but third-year back Quinton Ganther has filled in pretty well for the ‘Skins depleted backfield.

The biggest contributor to the solid play of the Redskins the past few weeks has been the defense, especially in their last game against the Oakland Raiders. Rookie linebacker Brian Orakpo finished the game with four sacks and veteran defensive end Andre Carter added two of his own to help shut down the Raiders offense.

In order for the Redskins to pull this one out, the offense and defense will have to perform like it did against the Raiders. Quarterback Jason Campbell will need to take advantage of a weak Giants secondary. A 300 yard and two touchdown game would be real good. The front four need to pressure quarterback Eli Manning and hold down running backs Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw.

Overall, this is a rivalry game and it should be a great one. For the Giants, this game has playoff implications and this game is just for bragging rights going into the 2010.

Yeah um right Washington.  SMH!  Good game GMEN!  Good night.

Blake, Michael has been in my ear all night telling me that and much more.  I think it’s safe to say I just like being scared.  LOL!  I can’t seem to trust these guys anymore, like I wish I could enjoy this.

Khai, there’s no need to be nervous anymore. This is like first quarter of the season Redskins. Not the team that we’ve seen the three weeks before this. They look absolutely terrible.

That was the worst play in NFL history.

AGREED!!!

That was the worst play in NFL history.

I wanted the 7 pts.  I’m annoyed!

Giants offense looking pretty good so far. Two rushing TD’s by Bradshaw.

Bwahahahaha!  Hope they come through for you...and shouts to you for using the beloved nickname.

I certainly need “Tuckie Poo” to rack up the sacks tonight. Yes, I’ve stuck with the Giants defense all season on my fantasy team, and I’m seven points down entering tonight. They stand between me and my march towards a fantasy title! haha
