So the Patriots and Ravens will meet again for another match up and this time it’s in the playoffs. These two teams have had their share of controversial games and have established quite a rivalry heading into Sunday’s game. The Ravens have on a number of occasions been one or two plays short of beating the Patriots over the past 2 years. I believe this game will be another tough hard fought match up and the Ravens have just as much if not a better shot of beating a Patriots team that is no longer who they used to be.

12:56 EST: GAMETIME BABY!

1:00 EST: Uh-oh Patriots! It’s funny how the players I said were the most impressive are still doing things for their teams and the others are either at home or doing nothing.

Ravens 7 - Patriots 0

1:01 EST: Ray Rice has been making big plays ALL SEASON. Not just in the beginning or middle. All throughout. And he just added an 83 yard TD in the playoffs to that performance.

1:07 EST: Brady stripped by Suggs. And this game just got even more interesting.

1:08 EST: Ravens beating up on the Patriots right now.

1:09 EST: 4 minutes into the game and the Ravens are up 14 points on the Patriots. Belichick needs to look into his bag of cheats and figure something out.

1:14 EST: Patriots are off to a dreadful start…WOW!

1:15 EST: Ray Lewis sacks Tom Brady for a 7 yard loss.

1:17 EST: Patriots punt.

1:27 EST: The defensive game plan for this game has been impressive. Tom Brady looks terrible and the Patriots have no answer right now on offense or defense. PLAYOFFS BABY…gotta love this!

1:31 EST: Rice again! 21 - ZERO Ravens over the Patriots.

1:35 EST: And Brady is intercepted again. Ed Reed laterals it to Landry puts the Ravens in the redzone again.

1:35 EST: Three turnovers in the first half by Brady and the Patriots. Epic meltdown. Whoa!

1:38 EST: Add three points to that lead…and the Ravens are up 24 - ZERO. Can we at least get some competitiveness from the Patriots. I mean this is the playoffs people, come on!

Ravens 24 - Patriots 0

1:49 EST: What a fluky play that was. Patriots need a score here in order to get back into this game.

1:50 EST: These two teams always play the craziest games that come down to something weird happening.

1:53 EST: TD Patriots…boy oh boy they needed that one.

Patriots 7 - Ravens 24

2:01 EST: And just like that the momentum is with the Patriots. Flacco picked off of the deflection from Heap.

2:05 EST: Ravens avoid another TD off of the turnover.

2:08 EST: Junior Seau is HYPED! I’d say the Ravens offense has slowed down tremendously.

2:09 EST: Good return by Edelman for 28 yards.

2:16 EST: Ed Reed is officially not wrapped too tight. What in the world was that about? LOL!

END OF THE FIRST HALF

Baltimore started off red hot taking advantage of some key mistakes by the Patriots. And for a minute it looked like they were going to face the same upset as they put on the Patriots in the second quarter. The Ravens need to hold on not make mistakes and they’ll win this game.

2:41 EST: Patriots open the half with the ball. And they go three and out.

3:01 EST: The Ravens defense has stepped in and taken over. The Patriots offense can’t get anything going and neither really has the Ravens offense since the first quarter. So let the defensive battle begin.

3:08 EST: TD Patriots!

Ravens 27 - Patriots 14

3:31 EST: Very close on whether he broke the plane of the endzone but at any event the Ravens are KILLING the Patriots.

3:45 EST: Brady’s pass almost picked off by Landry.

3:47 EST: He missed it! FG is no good for the Patriots.

The Ravens will advance to the divisional round and face the Indianapolis Colts next week.

Hard to say which statement is more true:

The New England Patriots could lose to any team in the NFL today.

The Baltimore Ravens could beat any team in the NFL today.


Let’s see, who was the idiot that picked the Patriots in our predictions post? Oh yeah, that was me.


Patriots are doing the right thing running the ball. Slow things down, keep Ravens offense off the field. You’ve got 50 minutes to make up 14 points. (And before I can hit “Submit Reply,” Brady throws a pick.)


Haha, Brady knows this team is in trouble. This defense is pathetic.


Tom Brady’s got that I-just-found-out-my-ex-girlfriend-is-pregnant look on his face. Patriots defecit (14) just covered the wind chill (11).


Attention: Mike Vrabel to the Patriots defensive backfield, please. Mike...Vrabel...you’re needed to the Patriots defensive backfield.


Haha, they talk about Edelman like every other play. Even when the Pats’ offense isn’t on the field. But this is dangerous territory for the Pats.
