The Chicago Bears Defensive End, and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers draft pick, Gaines Adams, has passed away at the age of 26. He was pronounced dead at 9 AM EST Sunday morning. Adams was a star at Clemson University, and was the fourth overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. He compiled 13.5 sacks in his young career, and 67 tackles.

Just terrible. The speculation seems to be that it was a heart attack. Such a sad story. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
