Super Bowl XLIV is officially over, and with it, the New Orleans Saints have captured their first Super Bowl title in team history. Of course, how you viewed the game will have a lot to do with which team you were a fan of, or which team you didn’t particularly like.
So with that being said, let’s look at it from simply a football standpoint. What this the type of game you wanted to see? Did you enjoy this game?
For me, let me first say that I wanted the Colts to win. Peyton Manning is one of my favorite players in the league, and I do believe that he will go down as the greatest quarterback in NFL history once his career is over. It would have been nice for him to pick up another ring tonight, but I have no doubt that he’ll get another one in the coming years.
As far as the game goes, I thought it was pretty entertaining overall, since it was tight until pretty much the very end. I think we all probably expected the Colts to score more points, and may have even expected this one to be a 38-35 type game, but the game never really took off offensively.
I’d probably give this game a “B” just because of the great defensive effort by the Saints in the second half.
How would you grade this game?

Current: Coming Soon!
I would give it a solid B, as well. The offensive attacks were not really seen, but the defense and the determination shown by the Saints made it a good game. The shock of seeing Peyton Manning throw a late interception that was returned for a score also added some tension/excitement.
