With the Denver Broncos falling just short of the playoffs this past season, its understandable that they may feel that there team is already solid enough to compete in 2010 just as it is, with a few tweaks here and there to their roster. If they want to return their same team, its important they bring back their star defender, Elvis Dumervil.

Reports are circulating that the Broncos will agree to a contract extension with Dumervil before he becomes a restricted free agent this offseason. With his league leading 17 sacks in the 2009 season, its hard to imagine Denver allowing him to simply walk away from the Mile High City.

Of course, nothing is set in stone, and he still could test the free agent market. With Dumervil just being 26 years old, and entering his fifth season in 2010, Denver hopes to keep the former Louisville Cardinal in town for many years to come.
