The Cleveland Browns are expanding their depth chart. They have gone out and signed free agent Alex Smith. No not the QB, but the TE from the Philadelphia Eagles.

This makes sense seeing as though the Browns are pretty weak at the TE position. Making any position robust especially a skill position, is key to success in the NFL.

Smith is now one of five tight ends with the Browns. The others being Greg Estandia, Evan Moore, Robert Royal, and starter Ben Watson. I think it is pretty clear that not all are going to be on the active roster come the start of the season but Smith should be there.

Hopefully, this is one more key in the cog…
