Today I was thinking about why ESPN will show 3 minutes of a Dallas Cowboys game highlights, but when it comes to the Tennessee Titans they are through the highlights in 20 seconds. Is it because the Cowboys just make better plays? Or is it because the Cowboys are more popular? More »

Though nothing is finalized there are talks about Johnson and Johnson running a campaign with Chris Johnson of theTennessee Titans and Andre Johnson of the Houston Texans. This is according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. More »

After Green Bay’s overtime playoff loss, you would expect Aaron Rodgers to throw a fit about the refs missing multiple calls. Larry Fitzgerald running over Charles Woodson multiple times obviously past 5 yards and the roughing the passer called for Kurt Warner while Rodgers was obviously roughed a couple of times including the facemask pictured above are just some of the calls that could be complained about. So its official, the Seattle Seahawks have hired Pete Carroll as their next head coach. But will this help them?

Many people are pointing at the fact that Carroll only has a .520 win percentage in the NFL as compared to his very impressive college career. This is a very weighted stat as in the NFL every week is against an elite team, while as in college, you will play 3-4 games a year that are against weak opponents. I argue that above 50% in the NFL is a very good record.

Then people will say he had a losing record in the playoffs. When he was the head coach of the Jets he only had one year and he was in arguably the toughest division in the league.

When he was with the Patriots in ‘97, he beat Dan Marino and the Dolphins in the playoffs, followed by losing by 1 point to the thriving Pittsburgh Steelers who lost to John Elway and the Broncos in the next round.

The next two years weren’t as successful, but he still didn’t have a losing season with the Patriots. He didn’t have any control over personnel while he was at New England, and this time it looks like he might have a lot more. Only time will tell if he can become a successful NFL head coach.

On Christmas Day, Vince Young and company will welcome the San Diego Chargers into Nashville for what could be one of the most exciting games of the year.

The Chargers are trying to secure their bye week while the Titans are just trying to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. Although they don’t control their own destiny, a Titans win would put them above .500 this season. After an 0-6 start, this is an incredible feat. More »
