When former Fresno St. quarterback David Carr came into the league, most thought he had a bright future. But whether it was talent or lack of talent around him, Carr never got things going with the Houston Texans, and has bounced around several NFL teams since then. Now, he heads out west to join the San Francisco 49ers, a team with definite questions at the QB position. More »

Sometimes, when professional athletes are accused of committing a crime, we first focus on the circumstances. After all, they are professional athletes, and they are pretty much recognized anywhere they go. When Ben Roethlisberger was accused of raping a woman in Las Vegas last year, some of us weren’t sure what to believe. Nothing ever really came of that, so the perception of Big Ben didn’t change a whole lot in the minds of many fans. But now, Roethlisberger has been accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year old woman in Georgia. This is where some doubt starts to creep in. More »

Just before the start of Free Agency the Chargers have made another move. Trading Antonio Cromartie to the New York Jets for a 2011 3rd round Draft pick that may turn into a 2nd round pick. This may not be the best move for the Bolts but it really comes as no surprise. More »

This uncharted territory for the league has some a bit uneasy as to what to expect from teams this offseason. Obviously there will still be some big spenders as always from Daniel Snyder ’s big fat bankroll with the Washington Redskins to his divisional rival with the Dallas Cowboys in Jerry Jones. Perhaps the most pressing question is not which team will spend the most, but which will spend the least. More »

The NFL’s Scouting Combine came to its conclusion on Monday with what is often the most exciting day when defensive backs scorch the 40 yard dash and light up the individual drills. Plenty of memorable performances have been produced by corners and safeties over the years with Deion Sanders and Darrell Green being the two that come to mind first. As electric as these two guys were in workouts, their NFL careers were just as spectacular and Monday’s drills had potential to create some storylines of their own. More »

At the NFL Scouting Combine on Monday the duel between the two familiar Big XII foes at defensive tackle was on in shorts and t-shirts as Oklahoma Sooner Gerald McCoy and Nebraska Cornhusker Ndamukong Suh took part in their individual workout sessions. The consensus heading into Indianapolis has put Suh on top of this race for the time being, but some recent dissension has been heard from several pundits around the league. More »

I feel like because I write about the NFL I have to address Tim Tebow (it’s THAT out of control). I believe that Tim Tebow will be a steal in the second round but a reach in the first. If you draft a quarterback in the first round you are saying that this player is the future of the franchise and should be able to start sometime in his rookie season. More »
