VH1 strikes again and this time, it’s with the now infamous budding TV star Cincinnati Bengal receiver Chad Ochocinco. Yes fresh off the announcement of his stint on Dancing with the Stars, it has been revealed that the Ocho will be getting his own reality dating show on the popular network. “Ocho Cinco’s Tournament” is casting young ladies now for the upcoming dating series. It seems Notre Dame may be having a change of heart regarding their independence from college football and the NCAA. The consideration to give up their football independence came directly from Athletic Director Jack Swarbrick who was warned of potential “seismic change” in the conference alignment as a result of the programs shift in strategy. The business of college football is different than it was in 1999, when Notre Dame was its own conference and didn’t need a conference for support. More »

After five seasons, a Super Bowl championship, a tumultuous 2008 season, an air horn in the locker room, a serious neck injury and plenty of other ups and downs as an outspoken defensive captain, Antonio Pierce’s time with the Giants is over. More »

If you’re not impressed with the way the Dallas Cowboys are playing football then you’re not really a fan of the game. Watching a team on a run as the Cowboys are on is beyond impressive. You feel the stars are aligned for Big D as they roll through opponents week after week. The Cowboys enter this game on Sunday doing everything well. They run the ball well, they pass it well and their defense is playing SO well they could actually be without that good offense and still win games. More »

The Arizona Cardinals walked away last week with a lucky win after allowing the Green Bay Packers to tie the game at 45 forcing overtime. Their defense was absolutely horrible and carrying that act on the road to New Orleans must have Cardinals fans extremely nervous. More »

Both the Jets and Cowboys won the wild card round of the playoffs yesterday and both did so in impressive fashion. More »

So the Patriots and Ravens will meet again for another match up and this time it’s in the playoffs. These two teams have had their share of controversial games and have established quite a rivalry heading into Sunday’s game. The Ravens have on a number of occasions been one or two plays short of beating the Patriots over the past 2 years. I believe this game will be another tough hard fought match up and the Ravens have just as much if not a better shot of beating a Patriots team that is no longer who they used to be. More »

The New York Jets are extremely confident. Heading into this game Jets safety Kerry Rhodes believes that the “hard work” his team put in is the reason they’re in the playoffs. Now don’t get me wrong 9-7 is a winning record but if that’s all hard work gets you, then I say work harder. Head coach Rex Ryan, then went on to say that the Jets were the best team in the playoffs this year. More »

Numb…

Call me spoiled, delusional, or just a die hard fan…but this wasn’t supposed to end like this. After four straight seasons with a playoff appearance, I had grown accustomed to the Giants being there no matter what in the end. The Giants were supposed to come in and close out Giants Stadium, fresh off of a commanding victory over the Washington Redskins, with a win over the Panthers in route to a strong playoff run. Not only didn’t that happen, but the Giants did the opposite of what everyone thought they would. They were embarrassed at home in a game that they needed to win. With their backs against the wall they barely made an effort to compete as their dismal season came to an ugly end. This loss will not just go away, it will linger on in the hearts and mind of the entire NFL as the game that exposed the Giants for who they really are. Was 2007 a fluke? Is Tom Coughlin back on the hot seat? What needs to happen for them to get better? Who stays…and who goes as the team tries to pick up the pieces on what could have been in 2009? More »

We can only hope THIS Brandon Jacobs comes to play tonight in Washington. Somehow I doubt it though.

This is a huge game for the New York Giants tonight. They have an opportunity to continue on with their playoff hopes if they pull out this divisional win against the Washington Redskins. More »
