The Madden curse continues to live on, even through the 2010 cover. The creators at EA tried to overcome the jinx by placing two prestigious athletes on the cover of Madden 10, Troy Polamalu and Larry Fitzgerald, but Polamalu missed many games after suffering an injury to his left knee, while Fitzgerald managed to avoid a “serious injury”, only a knee contusion and knee sprain during Week 15. But the curse still lives on after it claimed Polamalu’s season, and now, the new candidates for the Madden 11 cover have been announced. More »


Once an All-Pro Cornerback for the Chicago Bears, Jerry Azumah was forced to put his football career to a halt following injuries to his hip and neck pain. Azumah entered the league in 1999 when he was selected as the 14th pick of the fifth round by the Chicago Bears. He dominated Division 1-AA with the University of New Hampshire, and won the Walter Payton award for best offensive player. In 2003, Azumah led the league in kickoff return yardage, and took two back to the endzone. In 2004, Azumah was selected to the Pro Bowl as a kick returner. Most people are pleased with Flacco and his status on the Ravens, except one guy, Troy Smith. Unlike everybody else, he is the guy stuck behind Flacco on the depth chart, and playing time will never come for the athletic QB. The NFL is home to two Manning brothers, Peyton and Eli. Unfortunately, one of the Manning brothers had to sit at home while the NFL playoffs were progressing. Eli Manning is the brother on the outside of the playoff picture, which means that Peyton is the last chance for the Manning family.
