The Arizona Cardinals appear to be content with letting Karlos Dansby test the free agent market, even though he’s one of the top defenders. The Cardinals placed the franchise tag on Dansby the past two seasons, and don’t plan on making it three years in a row. With Dansby having a sub-par season in 2009, he is still a top defender in the open market, and will receive a lot of attention from potential suitors. But which teams will make the push for Dansby this offseason? More »

To sum up Kurt Warner’s career in a word or two would be an injustice to the remarkable accomplishments that he accrued during his twelve year stint in the NFL. From an undrafted Northern Iowa alum who spent two years in the AFL with the Iowa Barnstormers as well as one year in NFL Europe with the Amsterdam Admirals to his meteoric rise to fame in 1999 when Trent Green went down for the year with an ACL tear and Warner was called upon to lead the historically pathetic St. Louis Rams that season. Parallel to his own Hollywood-esque rags-to-riches story, Warner led the once league-wide laughing stock Rams to the Super Bowl where he amassed what is still the greatest passing performance in Super Bowl history in their dramatic victory over the Tennessee Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV. Ever since his journey began back in 1994, Kurt Warner has proven year in and year out that he is one of the best in the game. Unfortunately, Warner’s legacy came to an end today, following his announcement to retire from the game that has made him who he is today. More »

Not sure how your 401k is doing for your retirement? Well these guys don’t exactly have those issues in mind, but Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner, Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook, and Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed and wide receiver Derrick Mason have all publicly stated their desires to retire from the game. During the Cardinals’ embarrassing performance against the Saints this past Saturday, Kurt Warner was beaten up pretty badly. Warner’s pain was so great that the veteran QB is considering retirement more seriously than ever. But the pain that has truly worn down Warner is not physical pain, but rather, it is mental pain. The full-season commitment, the backlash after a loss, and the expectation to always perform at the highest level are some things that Warner alluded to specifically. More »

Remember that Reggie Bush guy from USC, the one who was touted as the second coming of Gale Sayers coming out of college after winning a Heisman trophy and headlining a Trojan dynasty in southern California? You know, the kid who was the consensus best player in the 2005 NFL Draft until the Houston Texans seemingly made the most colossal blunder in draft history by selecting North Carolina State defensive end Mario Williams number one overall instead? The Arizona Cardinals walked away last week with a lucky win after allowing the Green Bay Packers to tie the game at 45 forcing overtime. Their defense was absolutely horrible and carrying that act on the road to New Orleans must have Cardinals fans extremely nervous. More »

One week after the highest-scoring game in NFL postseason history, we may get to see a game that tests that record this weekend. The game that could produce similar results is, of course, the game between the Arizona Cardinals and the New Orleans Saints. More »

After a record breaking offensive explosion last week against the Green Bay Packers, the Arizona Cardinals are poised to make last week’s work look like mere child’s play as they head to the Big Easy to battle Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. If audience’s thought 96 points combined last week was something, they will be on the edge of their seats on Saturday night when Kurt Warner takes his desert birds on the road to the Superdome.
