Following their Week 17 shutout of the vaunted Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys are entering the playoffs very differently than they have in recent history; on a 3-game winning streak. It is no secret that the Cowboys have had their difficulty playing in the final stretch of the regular season for quite some time, but this season that was not the case. Dallas finished with a 3-2 record in December/January, and most importantly, they have gotten top-flight performances out of their often-criticised quarterback, Tony Romo. It’s report card day here on BlitzNation, and the Dallas Cowboys are coming off of what is probably their most impressive victory of the season, as they knocked off the Atlanta Falcons 37-21 on Sunday.

When I wrote my Falcons at Cowboys preview, I’m pretty sure I put in there somewhere that we simply couldn’t expect Miles Austin to catch a lot of balls and have an incredible game every single time the Cowboys take the field. Well, I was obviously wrong. Austin got it done again today, racking up 171 receiving yards on just six catches and two scores, as Dallas knocked off Atlanta 37-21.

The Kansas City Chiefs are just 24 hours away from beginning the season with a winless 0-5 record. Admittedly, I’m a pessimist, but not even Tony Romo at his worst can’t make the Chiefs’ defense look any good. Anyways, here’s our preview of the matchup. More »


For those of you who were watching the game last night, you’ll know that it wasn’t pretty. The first 28 minutes or so were some of the most sloppy and uneventful NFL football you will see all season. All of that changed in the second half though, as the Dallas Cowboys completely dominated, and sent the Carolina Panthers to 0-3. More »
