Several times, we have taken a detailed look at the players around the league scheduled to hit the free agent market, but never has the exact list of the “soon to-be”s been known. That is, until the league recently released an official compilation of all 235 players who are set to become unrestricted free agents on March 5th. Of course, there are a variety of stars with the restricted FA title that could still be acquired, but it is certainly more likely that the unrestricted ones will be easier to sign. Because of the yet-to-be resolved Collective Bargaining Agreement, the list of UFAs this offseason is limited to only a few “big names”, and is mainly composed of mid-tier talent. More »


If you’re a fan of the NFL, then you obviously have players you absolutely hate. Sometimes it’s because they kill your favorite team during every matchup, sometimes they’re just douche bags on the field or off, other times they’re just attention whores, needing a quick attention fix. One of the Giants biggest free agent signings this off season was of DT Chris Canty from the Dallas Cowboys. However, since his signing the only mention of his name has been to announce the injury report from training camp & preseason season as Canty’s name has been on it every week nursing a hamstring injury since he became a New York Giant.

Until yesterday that is. Canty’s name was not on the pre-practice report Wednesday morning according to NJ.com.
