There are still some names on the free agent market, but none of those will garner the attention of St. Louis Rams safety O.J. Atogwe. It was made official that St. Louis decided not to re-tender him at the pricey $6.976 million that would have been required for such a move to ensure them of his presence on their roster in 2010. The Rams centerfielder on defense had his 2009 season shortened by a shoulder injury that ultimately landed him on injured reserve and he also had hernia surgery this offseason. Those potential injury concerns will have to be thoroughly examined by any teams looking into inking him now that he is on the open market. More »

Somehow the Cleveland Browns are lined up to have another prime time game, this time against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Being a rivalry, it may prove to be a pretty good game. Let’s break it down. More »

With guys like Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Brett Favre, and Chris Johnson getting a ton of mention for MVP because of their amazing production on the field, I feel that Troy Polamalu is truly showing more value to his team because of his absence from the field. I understand that the MVP cannot go to a guy who is missing most of his team’s games, but Troy Polamalu is showing that he is the most valuable player to his team in the literal sense of the term. When he plays, they win. When he doesn’t, they lose. Simple as that. More »

After being swept by the Cincinnati Bengals the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens both are in a fight for second place in the AFC North and a spot in the playoffs tonight when they face each other at M&T Bank Stadium. More »

The Steelers are set to make their playoff run too, and everything is set in place for what should be a great AFC North rivalry between the Ravens and Steelers. More »

The Steelers face their toughest challenge of the season this Sunday when the 6-0 Minnesota Vikings, led by Brett Favre, come to town. The two teams have met 15 times in regular seasons past, with the Vikings winning 8 of those meetings. But, as we have learned this season, each game is an entity all it’s own and the past does not matter much. So, let’s look at what both teams bring to this table. More »

Week six already in the NFL. The Cleveland Browns are taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers. In yester-years this would be the game to see. The rivalry going strong and both teams having loyal fans made for some great football. What do we have now? Nothing even close. Let’s look further into it. More »

Both Steelers safety Troy Polamalu and Ravens safety Ed Reed have established themselves as two of the best safeties to ever play the game, but if you could only choose one to have on your team who would it be? More »

For fans of the Chicago Bears, the period from Sunday night to Monday morning this past week was a little painful. Actually, it was very painful.
